The types of small scenes which can be on a model train layout are limited…. Only by your imagination. You could have scenes on model layouts of towns/cities, waterplants, bus stops, roads, schools, shipping docks, mountains, villages, athletics tracks, forests, monorails, etc. the possibilities for your landscape is endless, each unique peice of scenery makes your layout intereting.

A great way to start adding interest after you build your track is make some street scenes, with people, cars, garbage trucks, bikes, lampposts, electricity cables, and the list could go on, these little details can all add interest to a street scene on a model railroad layout.

Other great additions to add to your model layouts is railroad stations, with passengers, maybe a little car park, luggage, ticket offices, little foot bridges and more, these are just a few small ideas which come into my head whild writing this post, i would love it if some of you could comment sharing some of your ideas..
